What the extension does

Admin Config Notify records what happens in the Magento backend and notifies you when someone changes the configuration. Three things are covered:

  • Activity log - who changed which entity, when, from which IP and with which browser, including a field-by-field comparison of the old and the new value.

  • Login activity - successful and failed backend logins with user agent details.

  • E-mail notification - every logged change can be sent to one or more recipients.

Entries can be reverted from the grid, and a nightly cron job removes entries older than a configurable number of days.

Recipients are entered comma separated, so several people can be notified at once. The mail template can be exchanged for an own one.

Admin User Actions Log

The log can be switched on and off as a whole, and per entity type. Login activity and page visit history are separate switches, so the log stays readable if only configuration changes matter.

Every entry carries user, activity type, store view, module, full action, IP and the affected item. View opens the field comparison, Revert restores the previous value where the entity supports it.
